Modern Built Homes was established in 1999 under the name Double V Construction. Jake Vande Voort, the founder, decided to change the name to more accurately describe the company.

Jake has been in the home building industry since 1991.  The Modern Built crew does everything from design, framing, roofing and siding.  This allows for peace of mind & confidence, that your home will be built correctly. Jake continually educates himself with the newest & most efficient home building procedures.

Jake is a member of the Brown County Home Builders’ Association and received a certificate of achievement in blueprinting and estimating. His homes have been featured in the Brown County Showcase of Homes and pictured on HOUZZ.com.

Modern Built Homes specializes in exclusive, custom built homes, as well as renovating, remodeling, and additions. We are primarily based in North East Wisconsin, but also work on projects throughout the state.

MODERN BUILT HOMES RECEIVES BADGER CRAFTSMAN AWARD

The Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) in Madison WI, announced the winners of its inaugural Badger Craftsman Awards on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Stevens Point.

Modern Built Homes, member of the Brown County Home Builders Association, received the award for “Best New Home under $250,000”. Their entry featured an 1898 square foot home with an open concept design and cutting edge finishes throughout. Geothermal heating, cooling, and other energy-saving features were used throughout the house. The winners of these awards have proven to uphold values such as pride in craftsmanship, attention to detail, extraordinary customer service, and a passion for the industry.  Winners were selected based on their unique, creative approach to design, aesthetics and marketing appeal, functional value and cost effectiveness.
